Wizard101 Santa Run 2016 Recap

If you happened to be walking the streets of The Commons in the Greyrose realm last Saturday, you probably bumped into a lot of Santas that were actually warming up for the annual Santa Run!

The Santa Run is an event in Wizard101, created by Edward Lifegem and hosted every year. For the third time this year, Edward kindly asked me to help him out with this, by co-hosting the party along with my amazing friends Autumn Dreamwalker and Michael Frost.

Although not as many areas were filled as our Halloween Run back in October, countless faithful Wizards showed up to hang out with friends, make new ones or just to have a great time. The run started at the Rainbow Bridge and ended with Wizards running through the streets of Unicorn Way.

Shortly after the run, we invited players to join us for the after party at one of Autumn's five stupendous houses, that she decorated for the occasion. While I didn't have a tour of the houses prior to the event, I was mesmerized by Autumn's decorating skills, especially upon reaching her Celestial Observatory and getting lost in those stunning sparkles all around the place. Very well done, Autumn!

Amidst the PvP matches and many housing games going on, there were many contests as well, either on Twitter or in-game, which included some trivia, and there were also secret Santas walking around and gifting packs to some lucky Wizards.

I want to take this opportunity to thank Edward again, for putting so much effort and dedication into this, and to my fellow co-hosts Autumn and Michael, for also being extremely dedicated and amazing. I owe it all to you three, so thanks for having me and I'm looking forward to see you all at our next event!

Be sure to read other recap posts at Around the Spiral with Edward Lifegem and Secrets of the Spiral, and here's the official stream of the event!

Happy Holidays, everyone!
