Introduction to the Pet Promenade Event

The Pet Promenade is a Wizard101 event that takes place once a month (check the Monthly Calendar to know when it's coming up). It rewards you for interacting with your pets in different ways. Some of the rewards include:
  • Next Hatch Free Elixir
  • Elemental and Spirit Pet Tokens
  • Random Pet Jewel
  • Purreau's Potion #9 Elixir
  • Snacks from the Snack Pack.

There are four ways to earn points during the event:
  1. 1. Win a pet game - skipping a pet game will not give you any points, so make sure you actually play the pet game and win! The daily limit is 25 points, with 5 points earned per game won (5 games in total, if you win them all).
  2. 2. Feed pet snack - you can skip pet games to feed your pet faster. You will earn 1 point per pet age up to Epic (i.e., 1 point at Baby, 2 points at Adult, 3 points at Ancient, etc.), with a daily limit of 25 points.
  3. 3. Feed pet snack for happiness - don't waste your Mega snacks for this activity. Always favor lower rank snacks to reach the daily limit of 25 points. You will earn 1 point per snack rank.
  4. 4. Hatch a pet - this activity will earn you 25 points daily.
Tips to optimize Energy and Gold

Hatching pets has become an expensive activity, especially when using the Hatchmaking Kiosk, so it's a good idea to optimize your resources without running out of Gold during the event.
Tip #1: an affordable way to hatch is to mix two of your adult pets throughout the event (it's cheaper), except when you get the Next Hatch Free Elixir. Thats's the day you want to visit the Hatchmaking Kiosk for that perfect pet (be sure to activate the elixir before hatching)!
You can easily run out of Energy during this event if you are tending to your gardens or fishing at the same time, even more so if you're not max level and don't have Energy gear. To avoid having to buy an Energy Elixir to complete your daily activities, here are two tips to make the most of your Energy:
Tip #2: this is quite logical, but feeding your pet a snack after winning a pet game is the best way to optimize your Energy, and in so doing, you'll complete two activities at the same time.
Tip #3: plan ahead of time! You know when the event will take place, so use that to your advantage and make sure your plants reach Elder before it begins.

The math

Considering it's a limited-time event, earning the maximum number of points might seem stressful on a daily basis, but it really isn't.

You can actually reach the end of the progress bar within the event's time frame without completing all activities everyday. You need 500 points to finish the Pet Promenade, 7 days to do so, and you can earn a maximum of 100 points daily, so let's take a look at the numbers:
  • 500 / 100 = 5 days, if you complete all daily activities;
  • 500 / 75 =  6,7 days, if you complete 3 activities each day;
  • You won't reach the end of the bar if you complete 2 or less activities on a daily basis.
Reaching the end of the progress bar yields a random pet jewel and a chance at the Ravenwood Hamster pet. On top of that, earning points in the Pet Promenade will also earn you points towards your Scroll of Fortune progress for even more rewards!
